Bio

Francesca is the WordPress Community Manager at SiteGround. She is one of the team representatives for the global WordPress Community Team, and she volunteers as a WordCamp mentor and a Community Deputy.
She was the release co-lead for WordPress 5.3, where she served as the project coordinator.

She founded C+B, a blog with an editorial staff of more than eighty authors offering advice for Italian female creative entrepreneurs.

Francesca is a passionate speaker and you can find her in Italy and around the world talking about WordPress, community, open source, women in tech, and small businesses. You can check some of her talks on WordPress.tv.

Interests

Hip hop, tv series (possibly full of teenage angst), knitting, dancing, building communities, glitter, sushi, mojitos.

WordPress Origin Story

It all started with a 2 years old boy and some pics that I wanted to show to his grandparents who lived abroad. I opened a blog on WordPress.com and I fell in love with the platform: I took an e-course, moved to WordPress.org and asked around if someone wanted a website so I could test WP functionality.
I had my own business for about six years as an independent web design and in September 2017 I joined SiteGround as their WordPress Community Manager.
