Bio

Nerd by day, musician by night! I love everything on the bleeding edge of technology, clean and well commented code, and awesome organic food/beer/wine/coffee. I have a soft spot for folks that are eager to learn technologies that I am familiar with so I am often found volunteering large chunks of my day or night helping people on freenode.net (#wordpress, #jquery, #node.js, and some others).

In case you’re wondering… jphase is phonetic for “Jeff Hays” 😛

Interests

WordPress, jQuery, javascript, node.js, and most budding frameworks that are web related. I went to school for Mathematics, Computer Science, and Music (vocal & instrumental performance). I play beach volleyball every Saturday, contribute to random open source projects, and love to talk shop over a high quality beer.

WordPress Origin Story

After many moons of old, rickety, custom CMS’ that were piece mealed together with Smarty templates and other such monstrosities, I finally found WordPress in the late stages of the 1.x.x releases. I now love to find new custom things that I can create with WordPress and am an active member in the community.
