My name is Miguel Fonseca. I work as an engineer and team lead at Automattic—the folks who build WordPress.com and sponsor open-source work on WordPress.org—where I find myself surrounded by brilliant people committed to creating a fantastic publishing platform for everyone. I believe in free software, the open Web, continuous learning, and in the lost art of leisure. I like languages. I also like to climb trees.
I currently devote my time to WordPress core and specifically Gutenberg, the future of editing and customisation in WordPress. Previously, I helped build Calypso, a modern approach to WordPress premised on the unification of one’s reading and writing habits for the Web.

What’s with the misspelled domain name?
Domain availability. But it’s one character shorter, so… let’s call it a lemons-and-lemonade kind of deal.
