WordPress.org

Ages ago I heard a lot of talk about WordPress, but I was convinced it was just for blogs. I didn’t think it had anything useful to offer me, and never imagined it could work for high-powered enterprise websites.

Now, years later, I’m employed full-time by a Seattle software company as their sole WordPress developer. I’ve built more than 25 sites for them and there’s no end in sight for what we want to do with the platform. In these past few years I’ve taught myself a ton about WordPress, but I know my journey has only begun. I’m hoping to learn more about the codebase and look forward to giving back to the community by attending events, providing training materials, leading local talks, and by contributing to fixes here where I can.
