Bio

I’ve been building custom websites and web apps for people, non-profits, embassies, and businesses since 2012. The projects are typically on WordPress, so they’re easy to manage and update for clients. I really love doing this. It’s the perfect mix of problem solving, helping people, and life-long learning. And there’s plenty to learn in web development!

While I’ve mostly freelanced, working through platforms like toptal and Codeable, as well as a brief stint as a web engineer with 10up, I’m now VP of Development at The Digital Ring, a digital marketing agency based in Madison.

An avid learner, I have made a habit of collecting masters degrees (MBA, MA, MDiv). I like to say that I would be a professional student if it would pay the bills. I’ve also been to six continents (not Antartica… yet!), lived on four, speak Spanish, and I am varying degrees of conversational in a couple other languages.

Family, friends, food, coffee, smoking meats, and cooking are my favorite activities outside of work. After all that moving around, I now live in Wisconsin with my wonderful wife and two daughters.
