I am a Community Manager for WordPress, sponsored by Automattic. I’ve been a lover of WordPress since 3.0 — especially its extensibility — and I’ve come to be fully immersed in the code, community and culture of WordPress. I speak and blog about crafting plugins, the WordPress community, open-source, and community management. Though I’m a developer at heart, my passion is to work on programs that support the worldwide WordPress community. When I’m not answering questions in Slack or blogging about the latest news in WordPress, my focus is on God and my family.

WordPress Origin Story

After railing against the very idea of a CMS I discovered WordPress 3.0 and was blown away by how easy it was to use and extend. That has only improved with time and now I’m loving my work on the Community Team.
