Description

Classic Widgets is an official plugin maintained by the WordPress team that restores the previous (“classic”) WordPress widgets settings screens. It will be supported and maintained until at least 2022, or as long as is necessary.

Once activated, this plugin restores the previous widgets settings screens and disables the block editor from managing widgets. There is no other configuration, the classic widgets settings screens are enabled or disabled by either enabling or disabling this plugin.

Glad i found Classic Widget

So glad i found this 'Classic Widget' after spending a lot of time to achieve some simple changes in the my website. Seems every new step or software upgrade in the development of WordPress these days is a step backward. Not sure how it looks on your side but this block editor and Gutenberg thing is really a step backward. Please use your time and energy to improve WordPress and not to bring it down

Thanks for the plugin, but seriously WordPress... please stop with the blocks. Ever heard the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it? Shouldn't need a plugin just to revert back to what was completely fine and operational in the past. Looking at the horrible reviews about Gutenberg and all the complaints on here, just why? Why continue to try to shove blocks down everyone's throat.

Thank you for this app. What was WP thinking. Block system a complete train wreck!! Now that blck system is broken, now you can fix it... that is generally how it works.

I can now find my widgets. Goodness knows why the WP developers insist on creating new things that destroy the user experience. Who wants block widgets? This plugin is just what's needed to keep a sensible interface

Thanks for this, new widget system is total disaster, I simply hate it. I hope they return widgets as they were in next updates, because this is horrible.
