Bio

I am a Community Manager for the WordPress open-source project, sponsored by Automattic, where I work to bring my two passions together – open-source software & community building. In this role, I lead a team that works on programs supporting the global WordPress community, with a current focus on building up an online educational program. When not actively engaging with the community, my focus is on my faith & my family.

WordPress Origin Story

After railing against the very idea of a CMS I discovered WordPress 2.9 and was blown away by how easy it was to use and extend. That has only improved with time and now I’m loving my work on the Community Team.
