I enjoy the WordPress community very much. I am grateful that I can be a part of it. WordPress is a welcoming community where we can celebrate our differences. WordPress is also vibrant because of its international community. There are tons of motivated contributors and inspiring mentors from all over the world.

Interests

I am a finisher of the NYC Marathon. I also ran Half Marathons in NY, D.C, Philly, New Orleans, London and virtually in Tokyo. I would love to travel around the world just to run races. My ideal vacation is to run a race, and then have a drink at the local bar anywhere in the world.

My current passion is accessibility. During the pandemic, I realize how important it is for everyone to be able to access information, regardless of their age and abilities. In 2021, I became a certified DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester. I have built two WordPress accessible-ready themes.

WordPress Origin Story

I built my first WordPress website when I enrolled in a local design class which was a birthday gift from my husband. I won a web design award at the school contest and was hired by a local shop as a webmaster as soon as I graduated. Fast forward 15 years, I am still learning and enjoy building websites.
