Call for speakers

The Call for speakers is now closed

In June 2019, nearly 3,000 members of the WordPress community came together in Berlin at the biggest WordCamp Europe to date. With lots of happy memories from WCEU 2019, we’re now ready to continue making WordPress history! Will you join us?

We hope that you’re as excited as we are to bring the spirit of the WordPress community to such a special city. With that in mind, we’re delighted to announce that speakers’ applications for WCEU 2022 are now open!

We see WCEU 2022 in Porto as a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the present and future of WordPress together.

We are looking for talks that teach attendees to do exciting things with WordPress — in better, new, more performant, more secure, more efficient, more beautiful ways — to drive forward our shared mission of democratizing publishing.

As in previous years, WCEU has 2 days of the conference: 3 and 4 June.

Day 1:
All about WordPress NOW

Everything that can be achieved with WordPress currently.

Day 2:
All about the FUTURE of WordPress

All the exciting things that are just around the corner.

What topics are we looking for?

In our sneak peek we gave an idea of the structure of WCEU, now you might be wondering what we and the community are looking to hear from you. As always, any topic that is related to WordPress in any shape or form is welcome. WordPress is one of the most diverse ecosystems there is and we hope to see that reflected at the stage.

Historically, talks from professionals with a technical background have dominated WordCamps, but in recent years, we’ve seen amazing presentations from speakers from a wide range of fields, like Design, Marketing, Customer Support, Content Creation, Accessibility and many others. We want to double down on that trend, so no matter what your background is, we want to hear from you!

If you need a little inspiration, we’re also happy to help you!

Here are a few ideas to give you a spark:

WCEU 2022 will feature talks in the following formats:

Presentations

45 minutes in total

Workshops
