Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most WordPress events are online. Please refer to our online events handbook.

For communities where COVID-19 has been more effectively contained or have easy access to COVID-19 vaccination and/or testing, returning to hosting an in-person meetupMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). If you plan to move forward with an in-person meetup, you must use the provided checklist .

WordPress Community SupportWordPress Community Support WordPress Community Support PBC is a subsidiary of WordPress Foundation. It is created specifically to be the financial and legal support for WordCamps, WordPress Meetup groups, and any additional “official” events organized within the WordPress Community Events program. now has Zoom accounts available for online community events! We can provide a Pro Zoom account for the following:

  1. Diverse Speaker Training workshop
  2. do_action charity hackathon
  3. Contributor Days
  4. WordPress Chapter Meetup Events*
  5. Have a new idea? Let us know!

*For regular meetup events, we still recommend that you use free tools whenever possible, but Zoom Pro accounts are loaned out depending on availability.

In order to book a Zoom account, we will need to see that the event has been scheduled. Please also fill out the following form.

A deputyDeputy Community Deputies are a team of people all over the world who review WordCamp and Meetup applications, interview lead organizers, and generally keep things moving at WordCamp Central. Access to Zoom accounts will be provided at least 3 days in advance of your event, and will be removed shortly after.
